The other day I received this letter in the mail:
What a surprise to receive such a beautiful and thoughtful gift from you. The painting of the Bolivia Temple really touched our hearts and will be a treasure for us. Thank you so much for your kindness and for thinking of us.
With kind regards,
Elder and Sister Zwick & family"
It all started a few weeks ago when we were in the crazy business of moving out of our home. I was reluctant to box up my paintings as they could be damaged in the moving process. I showed to remaining temple paintings to some missionaries visiting for dinner. Elder Ward mentioned that he knew Elder Zwick's address. My Cochabamba, Bolivia LDS Temple painting is one of my favorites and I wanted to send it to a good home. I had no phone number for Elder Zwick or his family, so going on faith, I mailed out the painting sans introduction. I hoped it wouldn't be taken as a bomb or something like that and prayed the painting would be safe. I sent the package to "The Zwick Family" in hopes that it would be welcomed.
We sold our home and through numerous failed contracts landed in the basement of our relatives while still desperately house hunting. Several days after moving in, I received this letter in the mail. It brightened my spirits and touched my heart. Little had I thought that sending out a gift into the world would bring hope back to my heart. God gives us miracles when we dare to follow His inspiration.
Please pray for us to find and get the right home before Christmas, if it is God's will. Thank you and God bless you! Bekalyn
